Guangdong Science Center is located at the west end of Guangzhou University Town in Panyu, covering an area of 450,000 square meters and a building area of 140,700 square meters. It is a large-scale comprehensive science popularization venue in Guangdong Province, a national science popularization education base, certified by Guinness World Records, and awarded the title of "Science Museum/Science Center" in the world. The whole building has a unique shape, which looks like a "science and technology aircraft carrier" from the side, and looks like the flower of Guangzhou-kapok from the top, and looks like a smart "eye of scientific discovery" from the front.
There are 13 permanent theme pavilions, including Children's World, Experiment and Discovery, Traffic World, Digital Paradise, Innovation Space, Material Garden, Flying Dream, Green Home, People and Health, Perception and Thinking, with more than 700 exhibits and several temporary special exhibition areas, and 4 science and technology cinemas (IMAX3D giant screen cinema, IMAX3D giant screen cinema, and so on).
