The future development trend of resort industry in China;

1. The resort industry in China will develop rapidly, because China is rich in natural and cultural resources, with a long coastline and high-quality beaches, and many mountains, rivers and hot springs suitable for development as tourist resorts; With the deepening of China's reform and opening-up, China's economy will be further rejuvenated, and the per capita income level and leisure time will continue to increase. At the same time, people's ideological understanding will also undergo great changes, and holiday travel will become more and more popular; China's only son "Little Noble", born in the second baby boom, has grown up, which is a "self-centered" generation. They pursue material and sensory satisfaction, enjoyment, convenience of life, and accept new things faster, so holiday travel will undoubtedly become a new way of life they pursue.

2. Vacation tourists will shift from group-oriented to individual-oriented, and family vacations and couples vacations will become a fashion; At the same time, in order to adapt to the trend of aging population, the service and operation of resorts will be barrier-free.

Although at present, groups and conference guests account for a large proportion of the tourist source of the resort, and in the 21st century, groups and conference guests will still be an important part of the tourist source market of the resort. Therefore, in the 21st century, with the improvement of people's income level and the increase of leisure time, individual vacation will replace group vacation and become the main way of vacation. Sightseeing vacation will give way to health care and entertainment vacation; Theme-free holiday tourism has been transformed into theme-based holiday tourism, and green and ecology have become the new theme of resort industry development. In the past, many people's vacation was actually a kind of sightseeing, that is, to rest in scenic spots and sightseeing. In the future, the mode of time holiday tourism will change, that is, from sightseeing holiday mode to health care, leisure and entertainment holiday mode.

Traditional holiday tourism without theme can hardly meet the special needs of every tourist, but holiday tourism products designed according to the special interests, hobbies, occupations and physical conditions of holiday guests are more attractive and appealing to holiday guests, such as "healthy holiday", "study holiday", "parent-child holiday", "folk holiday", "leisure holiday" and "romantic holiday".

The management of the resort will be upgraded from tangible physical products to intangible capital and brand management, and from single project management to comprehensive industrial management under a unified brand. From the general law of international economic development, industrial management is the initial stage of enterprise development, not the end. With the continuous development and growth of enterprises, the value of intangible assets such as brands will far exceed the value of tangible assets, and the operation of intangible assets will become the main form of enterprise management and the main way for enterprises to develop rapidly. At the same time, as far as the industrial operation of enterprises is concerned, it will also develop from a single project operation to a comprehensive industrial operation under a unified brand. For example, Disney, which is said to be "an endless Disney", has changed from an amusement park to a trust integrating leisure travel, resorts, news media, toys, candy and clothing. There is no doubt that this will also become the mode of operation and development of resorts in the future. In order to cope with the increasingly fierce competition, tourist resort enterprises will take the road of collectivization and internationalization through various forms such as union, alliance, merger or annexation, so as to enhance their strength, reduce costs and promote sales.

5. The operation of the resort will be collectivized and internationalized, and its marketing will also move towards alliance, union, collectivization and internationalization. With the development of the internationalization of the world economy in the 21st century, countries are constantly reducing and eliminating all kinds of tangible and intangible economic barriers. As far as tourism is concerned, in order to promote the development of tourism, more and more countries will allow and encourage international resort groups and companies to set up tourist resorts in their own countries in various forms, such as joint ventures and sole proprietorships, and engage in the business activities of tourist resorts. Therefore, the operation of tourism will move towards collectivization and internationalization, and the competition in the tourist resort industry will be further intensified.

6. Consumers in resorts will be more aware of the law. With the increasing maturity of consumers, the legal awareness and self-protection awareness of holiday tourists will be further enhanced. If they are not satisfied, they will complain to the tourism authorities or consumer associations, or even easily take the resort to court to protect their legitimate rights and interests.

7. The competition in China resort industry will be more intense. On the one hand, in recent years, the resorts in China will expand rapidly and the supply will increase sharply. On the other hand, with China's entry into WTO, the domestic holiday market will be internationalized. Hotels with majority foreign ownership and wholly foreign-owned hotels and resorts will soon enter China. In this case, famous foreign resort groups, such as French club med, will build and manage tourist resorts in China. With their rich management, advanced management technology and huge sales network, they will pose a threat to the operation and survival of many resorts in China and make the competition of domestic resorts more intense.

(1) Classification by geographical scope. According to the geographical scope of tourists' arrival, tourism activities can be divided into international tourism and domestic tourism.

International tourism. International tourism refers to cross-border tourism activities, which are divided into inbound tourism and outbound tourism. Inbound tourism refers to the tourism activities of citizens from other countries to their own countries, and outbound tourism refers to the tourism activities of citizens from their own countries to other countries.

Domestic tourism. Domestic tourism refers to the tourism activities carried out by people in the country where they live, including the tourism activities of their own citizens in the country, and also refers to the tourism activities carried out by foreigners who have lived and worked in a country for a long time. From the course of tourism development, domestic tourism is the foundation of a country's tourism development, and international tourism is the extension and development of domestic tourism.

(2) According to the nature and purpose of tourism, tourism activities can be divided into six categories:

One is leisure, entertainment and vacation. Belonging to this kind of tourism activities are sightseeing, vacation, entertainment and so on.

The second is to visit relatives and friends. This is a kind of tourism activity with the main purpose of visiting relatives and friends.

The third is business and professional access. Tourism activities belonging to this category include business tourism, official tourism, conference tourism, study tour, special tourism, etc., and incentive tourism can also be classified into this category, because incentive tourism is closely related to tourists' personal occupation and economic activities of their units.

The fourth is health care. Mainly refers to sports tourism, health tourism, eco-tourism and so on.

The fifth is religious pilgrimage. It mainly refers to the tourism activities carried out by religious people with the main purpose of pilgrimage, preaching and preaching.

Sixth, other categories. Other tourism activities not included in the above five categories, such as adventure tourism.

(3) Classification by number of people. According to the number of people who take part in a tourism activity, tourism activities can be divided into team tourism, individual tourism and self-help tourism.

Team travel. Team tourism is a form of tourism in which more than 10 tourists (including 10 tourists) who buy the same tour route or project are organized by travel agencies or travel agencies for collective activities. Group tourism generally appears in the form of package price, which is convenient, comfortable, relatively safe and cheap, but tourists have little freedom.

Individual travel. Individual travel is one or more travel services provided by travel agencies for tourists, which is characterized by short booking period, small scale, many requirements, great changes and high freedom, but the cost is high.

Self-help travel. People do not go through travel agencies, but arrange their own travel itinerary and carry out activities according to their own wishes, such as backpacking, which is characterized by freedom, flexibility and frugality. Many people think that self-help travel is a way of saving money, and the travel content is rough, which may lead to many dangers. It is a wrong understanding that hotels will feel unsafe without reservation. In fact, if we deeply understand the characteristics of self-help tourism, we will find that self-help tourism is a quite exquisite and distinctive tourism form. Self-help travel allows all expenses to be controlled according to one's own preferences, the itinerary can be flexibly adjusted, and the local customs can be deeply understood. Self-help tourism is by no means a way of traveling with more fun and less money, but a way of spending more time in the same place to deeply understand the characteristics of the place, get in touch with local people and things, see what you want to see and take the road you want to go.
