Mainland residents who want to settle down in Taiwan Province, visit relatives, friends, travel, accept and handle property, handle weddings and funerals, or participate in economic, scientific, cultural, educational, sports, academic and other activities must apply to the municipal or county public security bureau where their household registration is located.
Mainland residents applying to go to Taiwan Province must go through the following procedures:
(a) submit the identity and household registration certificate;
(2) Fill in the application form for going to Taiwan Province;
(3) On-the-job and studying personnel shall submit the opinions of their units on the applicant's going to Taiwan Province; Non-on-the-job, profiteering students must submit the opinions of the local police station on the applicant's trip to Taiwan Province; (4) Submit certificates corresponding to the reasons for the application.
Mainland residents travelling to and from Taiwan Province and Taiwan Province residents travelling to and from the mainland must present their certificates to the frontier inspection stations at the open or designated entry and exit ports, fill in the registration cards for exit and entry, and accept inspection.
In any of the following circumstances, the frontier inspection station has the right to prevent exit or entry:
(1) Not holding a travel document;
(2) Holding forged, altered or other invalid travel documents;
(3) refusing to submit travel documents;
(four) the provisions of Article 12 and Article 19 of these measures shall not be approved for leaving or entering the country.
