Chumen travel
Chumen Town is located in the southeast coast of Zhejiang Province, in the northern part of Yuhuan County, Zhejiang Province, and in the center of Chumen Peninsula. It is also the only provincial central town in Yuhuan.
Chumen town has a long history. According to legend, Chumen was originally a sea in ancient times, and Yaji Mountain and Xiqingshan formed a gorge gate in the sea. After the pond was built for reclamation in the late Yuan Dynasty, there were Chu bushes, so it was called "Chumen". In the twentieth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1387), a thousand households of the Imperial Japanese Water Army in Truman were set up. During the Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty (1875-1908), Chumen Village was established. Chumen Township was established in the early Republic of China, and it was merged into Chumen Town in 9 years (1920), and Chumen District was established in 17 years (1928). After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the names of Truman District and Truman Town were used. In May 1992, Chumen District was abolished, and the villages of Huxin, Wujia, Huangjia, Qianpai, Zhitang, Xiaowang and Zhongshan in Tianma Township and Waitang Township were merged into Chumen Town. The Chu people are outstanding, and their cultural heritage is profound. From the founding of Junshan Academy in 1175 by Zhu Xi, a close friend of Neo-Confucianism in the Song Dynasty, and Dai Ming, a senior minister of the Ministry of Finance, to Lin Fang, a famous poet in the Qing Dynasty who is known as "the wizard of the Cape, the first person to admire around the mountains", to Dai Li, a talented woman in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and to Ye Wenling, a famous contemporary writer and Ye Peng, a famous scholar, all show their culture. Chumen is rich in tourism and cultural resources. The historical and cultural villages in Dongxi Village and the cultural centers such as Chuzhou Cultural City and nanshan park have become the tourist and leisure resorts in this town. At the same time, there are some tourist attractions in the surrounding areas. For details, please visit China Yuhuan Tourism Network.
