Liuchi Lane Travel

Liuchi Lane is located in the southwest corner of Tongcheng City, Anhui Province.

It is 100 meters long and 2 meters wide, and was built in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. Stone archways are erected at both ends of the roadway, and the word "comity" is engraved on the archway.

In 1999, Tongcheng municipal government allocated funds to restore a symbolic alley on the site of Liuchi Lane, which is a product of modernization. Now it is the prime minister's mansion in the south and the Wu's residence in the north.

The allusion of Liuchi Lane is about a land dispute between neighbors during the reign of Kangxi.

There is a folk story that has been passed down to this day:

According to legend, Zhang Ying, a university student in Kangxi, received a letter from her family, saying that there was a neighbor surnamed Wu in her hometown, and building a house and covering tiles at home would occupy the gap between the two families. One of the two sides is a senior official and the other is a noble family. They don't give an inch of land. When they get to the yamen, the county officials are not good at favoritism, so the family wrote to the big officials in the DPRK to support themselves.

The pattern of college student Zhang Ying is just different. With a stroke of a pen, she woke up her family and immediately gave in three feet. Wu, a noble family, was deeply moved and gave up three feet, so there was a six-foot wide roadway.
