Changyi ancient city relics

The ancient city of Changyi was located in the center of a rich region rich in grains, so it became an economic metropolis at that time. Cattle, horses and livestock in the north, silk tea and bamboo wares in the south, fish, salt and seafood in the east, and leather-patterned families in the west can all be bought in Changyi, where commerce and trade are developed, and specialty products from all over the country gather here, forming a gathering place for special trade capital.

The site of this city, located in the area of Qianchangyi Village, Daxieji Town, 27 kilometers south of Juye County, was founded in Qin Dynasty and was established in the Western Han Dynasty. It was a famous metropolis in the Western Han Dynasty and was known as the "Shang King City". "Shandong Tongzhi" contains: this city is "six miles in vertical and horizontal directions" and "the circumference of the outer city is more than 30 miles". From the 1056 cultural relics unearthed in 1977, it can be seen that Changyi was not only rich in grains in Sang Ma, but also had a relatively advanced iron smelting factory. Because the Yellow River burst several times in the future, this magnificent ancient city was buried underground, but every rainy and foggy day, people can still vaguely see the gates, battlements, walls and palaces of this ancient city, which is one of the eight famous scenic spots in Juye-"Smoke and Rain in Changcheng". Changyi is also the place where Yang Zhen, a well-known Confucian in the Eastern Han Dynasty, paid tribute. In Changyi, people in the Qing Dynasty set up a gold tablet of Yang Zhen's Ci, in which the five characters "Yang Zhen is a golden place" were engraved in the yang, and Yang Zhen's life and achievements were engraved in the yin. The Western Han Dynasty, the Eastern Han Dynasty, the Three Kingdoms, the Jin Dynasty and the Sui and Tang Dynasties all established their capitals and counties here, and once became the exchange center of politics, economy, military affairs and culture.
