The former site of YMCA is located at No.4 Dingxin Street, Huguo Street, Wuhua District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province. This is a building with a combination of Chinese and western styles, designed by the famous architect Li Jinpei and completed in October 1934. Its main building plane is L-shaped, with brick and wood structure. At the corner is a five-story octagonal tower with Gothic style, octagonal pyramidal roof, with a terrace on the second floor of the front, decorated with hanging columns and reliefs. At the base of the wall is the cornerstone of the chairman of the Yunnan provincial government, engraved with the inscription "not to serve people, but to serve people". The buildings on both sides are three-story inner corridors with a single eaves hanging from the top of the mountain, and the doors and windows on the first floor are set with round arch stone sleeves, and the interior decoration adopts Chinese style.

This former site is not only a venue for YMCA activities, but also witnessed the spread history of Christianity in Kunming. After 1958, the site was changed to Kunming Children's Palace and later became a residential building. Because of its unique architectural style and important historical value, the former site was announced as a district-level cultural relics protection unit in 2002, a municipal cultural relics protection unit in 2011 and a provincial cultural relics protection unit in 2012.

The former site of Dingxin Street YMCA is not only a place with profound historical and cultural heritage, but also an important tourist attraction in Wuhua District of Kunming, attracting a large number of tourists.

The activities of the Shanghai Young Buddhist Association are rich and colorful. Every Sunday morning, they hold lectures on Buddhism. The activities begin after the ceremony, and everyone reads the Diamond Sutra together, followed by an hour-long lecture by the invited mage or layman. The lecture was originally hosted by Buddhist Shi Jiuyun, and later took over by Buddhist Chen Wuwo. Many famous mages and laymen once shared the Dharma here.

In the evening, it is a question-and-answer time for Buddhist discussions. The mages answer Buddhist scriptures and related Buddhist questions on the spot, and at the same time, they continue to provide remote answering services through Buddhist communication. Among the media for spreading Buddhism, the Buddhist Youth Association has set up a Mind-Light Society to explain Buddhism through radio, give away Buddhist books free of charge, and open the library for public reading. The published Juexun is also the carrier for spreading Buddhism.

In terms of practice, the Buddhist Youth Association has a practice department, which conducts collective Buddhist meditation every Saturday, as well as different organizations, such as the chanting group, the Mengshanpuli group, the ritual instrument group and the past life group, to promote the practice of its members.

In terms of welfare, since 1948, the Buddhist Youth Association has established a compulsory clinic for Chinese and Western medicine to provide free treatment for poor patients. At first, it received 20 or 30 people a day, and with the spread of word of mouth, it gradually increased to hundreds of people a day. Doctors' professional service and love have won high praise from patients.

In addition to medical care, the Ministry of Welfare also provided tea and first-aid medicine in summer and porridge and cold clothes in winter through fundraising, which all showed the positive contribution of the Youth League to community welfare.

In addition, recreational activities are also a highlight of the Buddhist Youth Association. They often organize mountain activities, scenic spots tours, factory visits and vegetarian dinners. These activities are aimed at attracting young people to participate, guiding them closer to Buddhist life and satisfying their interests and hobbies.
