According to the official history from Yuan Dynasty to Qing Dynasty and various local chronicles in Yunnan, after the establishment of the Great Mongolia State, Xi Nuluo built a city on Tushan Mountain in the first year of Yonghui in Tang Gaozong (650), which was the first capital site of Nanzhao State.
3. Yunnan Weibaoshan National Forest Park
Weibaoshan National Forest Park is located 11 kilometers southeast of Weishan County, with an area of 19 square kilometers and the main peak at an altitude of 2,569 meters. It is known as the famous Taoist mountain in Yunnan and one of the four famous Taoist mountains in China. On the mountain, the ancient trees are towering, the shade is lush, the streams and springs are tinkling, and the flowers are flourishing. In 1992, Weibaoshan was listed as a national forest park. The main peak of Weibaoshan is 2,509 meters, and Taoist temples have been built since the Tang Dynasty, which flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and spread all over the mountain in the late Qing Dynasty. It is also the birthplace of Nanzhao, leaving many legendary attractions so far. Weibaoshan Taoist temple is dense and spectacular. Its layout embodies the characteristics of moral nature: the front mountains are covered with cockroaches, and Taoist temples are mostly hidden in dense forests; The back mountain is steep and steep, and temples are mostly built between rock walls according to the mountain situation.
4. Dengjue Temple
Weishan Dengjue Temple (also known as Baoguo Temple), located in the northeast corner of Weishan ancient city, was founded in Nanzhao (Tang Dynasty). The temple is in the north-south direction, and it is the oldest and largest Buddhist temple building in Weishan area. It was the residence of the monks and priests in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Throughout the temple, its architecture is really extraordinary. In particular, it is rare for the Dengjue Temple, a Buddhist building integrating towers and temples, to be built in the city. The architectural layout of Duijue Temple is rigorous, which fully shows the superb skills of ancient craftsmen. It is an important physical example of studying the early wooden buildings in the Ming Dynasty, and its cultural relics are of great value. During the Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty, the Luwei Temple was built on the left side of Sun Palace to pay homage to Governor Lin Zexu of Yungui. On the right side of the Sun Palace, Zhaozhong Temple was rebuilt, and the Qing army was killed and martyred in the same year.
5. Changchundong Temple, Weibaoshan, Weishan County, Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province
On May 25th, 2006, Changchundong Temple, as an ancient building in the Qing Dynasty, was approved by the State Council to be included in the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units, located at the west foot of Weibaoshan in Weishan Yi and Hui Autonomous County. Founded in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. Changchundong Temple, the largest Taoist temple at the back of Weibaoshan Mountain, is famous for its exquisite architectural art.. It was built by Taoist Li Faji and Yang Fayin of Guizhou Province, and later the Taoist Yang Yanghui changed the main hall into the second floor. During Guangxu period, Taoist Yang Laoqi and Zhang Chaoyong rebuilt the wing and garden, and thus the eight diagrams pattern with regular layout was built, which is the Taoist architectural pattern of the ninth floor and ten courtyards. In the temple, statues such as Jade Emperor, Lei Zu, Land, Ma Shuai and Lingguan are worshipped. In 2003, the state invested funds to carry out a comprehensive maintenance.
6. Yunnan Weishan Red River Source Geopark
The source of the Red River is called Yangzi River. Yangzi River flows into Weishan Basin through the canyon, and the falling place is called Xihe River. The entire 30-kilometer Xihe River is all on the west side of the basin dam at the foot of Xishan Mountain, and no section runs to the east, which is a veritable Xihe River. This river, also known as Guajiang, has the reputation of "Guajiang Biyu". Because of its mild climate and fertile land, it has been famous for its rich pumpkin, wax gourd, loofah and other melons since ancient times. The whole Bachuan is a place where melons and fruits are fragrant and fish are full of water, so an ancient Nanzhao country and Nanzhao civilization have flourished. In February 2018, the Ministry of Land and Resources announced the list of the eighth batch of national geoparks to be awarded, and Yunnan Weishan Hongheyuan Geopark was selected.
7. Qinghua Green Peacock Nature Reserve
Qinghua Green Peacock Nature Reserve, a provincial nature reserve in Yunnan Province, mainly protects the national first-class protected animals, green peacocks, national second-class protected animals, such as silver pheasant, golden pheasant, sumen antelope and pangolin, and their living environment. The green peacock is a very precious large bird. The existence of this nature reserve provides the last piece of pure land for the green peacock to survive, which is of concrete significance for studying this species and maintaining ecological balance.
8. East Lotus Tourist Area in Weishan County
