Shenmu City, located in the north of Shaanxi Province, China, is a city with a long history and profound cultural heritage. The tourist attractions in Shenmu include Erlang Mountain, Tiantai Mountain, Xijin Temple, Phoenix Mountain and Hongjiannao.

1. Erlang Mountain

Erlang Mountain is located on the west bank of the Kuye River in the urban area, with an altitude of 1,082 meters. It is commonly known as Xishan, and there is Erlang Temple on it. Because it looks like a hump, it is also called "Hump Mountain", which is a national 4A-level scenic spot. In the 13th year of Zhengde in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1518), Zhu Houzhao, the military leader of Wuzong, was stationed in Lei. Seeing its mountain shape, it looked like a desk penholder, and was named Bijia Mountain. One kilometer before and after the ridge, there are more than 100 temples, pavilions and pavilions since Ming and Qing Dynasties, which have high artistic and historical value. As one of the eight scenic spots in Yun Chuan, the "Hump Sunset" is known as the "Little Huashan Mountain in Northern Shaanxi".

2. Tiantai Mountain

Tiantai Mountain is located in the southeast of Hejiachuan Town, 65 kilometers away from the urban area. The mountain rises more than 500 meters, and the mountain is steep and foggy. The Yellow River and the Cave Wild River pass by the mountains from the east and west, creating the wonder of "seeing Qin Jin in one mountain and locking misty clouds in two waters". There are Chongfeng Temple and Tiantai shrines in Tiantai Mountain, which is a religious holy place with a long history and a good reputation in the fortress.

3. Xijin Temple

Xijin Temple, called Baofeng Temple in ancient times, is located on the rocky mountain seven miles south of Mazhen Town along the Yellow River, across the river from Dongjin Temple in Peijiajin, Chuankou Township, Xing County, Shanxi Province. It covers an area of 3,334 square meters and has a history of more than 600 years. The mountains are magnificent and exquisite. In the late Qing Dynasty, this temple reached its peak, and several monks presided over Buddhist ceremonies, with melodious bells and cigarettes lingering around it, echoing the "Baiyun Mountain" in Jiaxian County and becoming a complete Buddhist temple.

4. Phoenix Mountain

Fenghuang Mountain is located in Qiangjiamao Village, northeast of Wanzhen Town. According to legend, a phoenix landed on this mountain in the Tang Dynasty, hence its name. The Phoenix Mountain is dangerous and strange, with the ridge feet connected and the ridge top open. Looking from a distance, it looks like a phoenix with its wings flapping. Standing at the foot of the mountain, looking up, the stone-cut steps climb the wall and climb straight to the clouds, which is like an uncanny workmanship, majestic and dangerous. The newly built Shinto Cave step guardrail winds up. From a distance, it looks like a silver snake dancing, and from a close look, it looks like silver, which is spectacular.

5. Hongjiannao

Hongjiannao, the "Pearl on the Frontier", is the largest desert freshwater lake in China, and has been rated as a national water conservancy scenic spot, a national nature reserve and a 4A-level scenic spot. On the edge of Mu Us Desert, with a total area of 10,768 hectares and a water area of 37.1 square kilometers. In summer and autumn, there are vast smoke waves, gulls flying, blue sky and white clouds, clear water and yellow sand, lush aquatic plants, pleasant environment and tourists weaving. Hongjiannao is a paradise for birds, the main breeding and habitat of the world's endangered rare birds and national first-class protected animals-gulls.
