Qionghai city is located in the east of Hainan Island, 86 kilometers away from Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province, and 163 kilometers away from Sanya at the southern end. It is 60km away from Wanning City in the south, connected with Ding 'an and tunchang in the north, and adjacent to Wenchang Qinglan Port in the east. With a total area of 1,692 square kilometers, qionghai city has jurisdiction over 12 towns, including Jiaji, Zhongyuan, Boao, Tanmen, Changpo, Wanquan, Tayang, Dalu, Yangjiang, Longjiang, Huishan and Shibi, and 203 village (neighborhood) committees. There are also 5 state-owned farms, 1 overseas Chinese farm and 1 state-owned forest farm in its jurisdiction. Jiaji City is the seat of the municipal government. Boao Watertown Special Planning Area covers an area of 41.8 square kilometers. Urban development: According to the idea of "one point, two wings, three groups and five centers", qionghai city has implemented the urbanization construction of Great Qionghai, and the urban infrastructure and supporting facilities such as roads, water supply, power supply, communication, drainage, sewage discharge, fire protection, lighting and beautification have been improved day by day, the city scale has been continuously expanded, the city grade has been further improved, and the pattern of Great Qionghai has become increasingly prominent.
Ports: There are four ports along the coast: Longwan, Tanmen, Boao, Qingge and Qingdao. Longwan Port is the only natural deep-water port in the east of Hainan Island. The natural water depth of the port is -15 to -23 meters, which can be used to build more than 200 deep-water berths of 10,000 tons to 200,000 tons. It is adjacent to the site of Boao Forum for Asia and only 55 nautical miles away from the main shipping channel of Europe and Asia. Longwan Port will cooperate with Rotterdam Port in the Netherlands to build a multi-purpose Far East base port. Tanmen central fishing port is listed as a national key fishing port.
Transportation: National Highway 223 (Haiyu East Line) and Eastern Expressway pass through qionghai city from north to south. Two provincial highways cross the city, and there are four entrances to the expressway. The highways in the city crisscross and extend in all directions, with a mileage of 2,100 kilometers.
Water supply: There are 2.79 billion cubic meters of water sources that meet the national second-class drinking water standards, and there are 7 medium-sized reservoirs with a total reservoir capacity of 259 million cubic meters. Guantang Hot Spring, with a daily flow of 10,700 tons and a water temperature of 70-90 degrees Celsius, is a rare hot mineral spring field in the world. The water supply capacity of Jiaji urban area can meet the needs of urban development and large-scale industrial water use in the next 10 years.
Power supply: qionghai city has a surplus of electricity, which is uniformly supplied by the provincial power grid. In addition to the provincial Niululing power supply station, there are 26 large and small power stations with a total installed capacity of 99,700 kilowatts and an annual power generation capacity of 300 million kWh. 220kv substations have been built in Guantang, 110kv in Qionghai and 110kv in Panshui.
Posts and Telecommunications: The city has realized the digitalization of urban and rural telephone transmission and the program-controlled exchange, which can directly reach more than 200 countries and regions at home and abroad.
