Zhalute Mountain Grassland Tourist Area is located in the west of Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, within the territory of Tu Hu Shuo, Bajard, Zhalute Banner, 200 kilometers away from Tongliao City.

2. Zhurihe Grassland

Zhurihe Grassland Tourist Area is 101 kilometers away from Tongliao City, and belongs to Tongliao Tourism Bureau.

Tongliao city is located in the transitional zone between forest and grassland, and the original landscape is elm sparse grassland, with grassland vegetation as the main one, followed by forest vegetation. Vegetation types are mainly composed of arid grassland types and xerophytes. Natural arbor and shrub species include Ulmus pumila, Quercus mongolica, Betula nigra, Phyllanthus urinaria, Lespedeza, Caragana, Prunus armeniaca, Salix psammophila, etc.

There are 112 families, 446 genera and 1169 species of natural grassland plants. Among the 1,169 species of plants, 578 species have forage value, and 185 species are mainly forage plants, including Leymus chinensis, Stipa, Cryptocarpus, Pennisetum, Medicago sativa, Chabaga, etc. Mountain and sandy land are suitable for the growth of poplar, willow, elm, Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica, Prunus armeniaca, Caragana and Salix. Wild plants such as ephedra, licorice, Prunus armeniaca and Hippophae rhamnoides have unique varieties and excellent texture.

Tan Zhijun, male, Han nationality, was born in October 1963. He was born in Laoting, Hebei Province and Kailu County, Inner Mongolia. He started his career in August 1985 and became a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in June of the same year. He holds a bachelor's degree and a bachelor's degree in history. He graduated from Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities with a major in history. His current position is director of Tongliao Tourism Bureau.
