Travel Notes of Xi 'an in 2010+Introduction

My husband and I spent six days in Xi 'an, traveling by ourselves. We did some homework on the Internet before, and it felt very necessary. We chose to stay in the same hotel all the time, so we brought a computer and came back every night to prepare for the next day's trip. It's more modern, hehe, convenient and practical. The total cost of the two of us is between RMB 5,500 and RMB 5,700, because we took a lot of small change when we set out, and we don't know the exact amount! I hope my travel notes, which can also be called Raiders, will help my friends who are going to Xi 'an.

Day 1: Beijing-Xi 'an

Big Wild Goose Pagoda-Little Wild Goose Pagoda-Bell Tower-Drum Tower-City Wall Lantern Festival

The plane at 8: 00 a.m. will arrive at Xianyang International Airport at 9:50 a.m. (air ticket 300RMB+100RMB for infrastructure and fuel/person). Take the airport bus (25RMB/ person) to the bell tower. I booked the Bell Tower Super 8 Hotel on Ctrip, which is less than 5 minutes' walk from the airport bus station (staying in a big bed room for more than two consecutive days is 169RMB/ day, and the room rate is 188RMB until February 28th and March 1st). After checking in, I went to Zhuba City Street on the east side of the hotel to eat the meat buns and cold skin of Fan Ji's preserved meat, which was very delicious, except that there was not much meat. We ordered high-quality meat buns.

After lunch, we take a bus to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area in the Bell Tower. It is necessary to bring enough change when we play in Xi 'an. No one sells tickets by car, and there are one yuan and two yuan when we get on the bus. Therefore, it is recommended to prepare about 100 yuan in change, which is convenient to spend. The whole scenic spot can be divided into three parts, the North Square, the Great Jionji (that is, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda) and the South Square. On that day, we only visited the North Square and Jionji. We should have a look at the music fountain in the North Square, which is one of the more famous places in Xi 'an. The usual opening hours are 12 noon and 8: 30 in the evening, and the weekends are 12 noon, 2 pm, 4 pm, 6 pm and 8: 30. Jionji is a must-see attraction, (admission fee is RMB25/ person, student ticket is RMB20). It should be noted that the scenic spot tickets are charged according to the off-season and peak season. Before March 1st, it was the off-season, so we just rushed to visit the scenic spots that cost money a few days before the peak season, saving some money. We must bring our student ID card and military officer's ID card with us, but not all the scenic spots can be discounted at half price, and many of them are only discounted a little. You need to pay an extra twenty dollars to climb the tower after entering Jionji. We didn't climb the tower, because there was nothing particularly worth visiting. The selling point of the tower was that it was supervised by Master Xuanzang himself, so just looking at the appearance seemed to be enough. Buildings in other temples are worth taking photos as a souvenir. Because South Square is close to Datang Furong Garden, and there is a block in the middle of Datang that never sleeps, so we play South Square and Datang Furong Garden together.

We got out of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and took a bus to the Little Wild Goose Pagoda at the intersection of North Square. We didn't go into the park, because we didn't want to visit this scenic spot because it didn't feel worthwhile, so we took a look outside and left. It is suggested that if this scenic spot is not rich in time and funds, we don't need to go in to see it. After seeing the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, we don't think it is worthwhile to ask me for tickets.

Take a bus back to the bell tower, which is in the middle of the intersection. I don't know how to get in, so I took some photos at the intersection, which is considered as a visit.

Walk back to the hotel to have a rest. In the evening, I went to the snack street behind the Drum Tower to eat Rong Shengxiang's beef in gravy, mutton bread in soup and fried bean jelly, as well as sour plum soup. The price was very cheap, totaling RMB44, and the taste was good. It was just that mutton bread in soup was too much to eat.

Just before the fifteenth day of the first month, Xi 'an's city wall lantern festival was very famous, so we went to the city wall by bus. (The ticket is RMB40/ person, which is very suitable for us, because the price from the next day to the fifteenth day of the first month is 80! ) The Lantern Festival on the city wall is very spectacular, and there are many things to see. Compared with the Lantern Festival in Beijing, it is simply incomparable. If you are visiting during the Spring Festival, you should visit more festivals such as Lantern Festival and Fireworks Evening, and feel that the Spring Festival atmosphere in other places is much richer than that in Beijing.

End the light show at 11 o'clock and take a taxi back to the hotel in the bell tower.

The next day: Xi 'an

Huaqingchi-Qin Mausoleum-Terracotta Warriors-Datang Furong Garden

Depart at 8: 30 in the morning, take bus No.201 to the railway station, and take a walk and change to "Tour No.5". There are many private cars for soliciting passengers near the railway station, so you can't do it. Don't be too far away. Take a few more steps to the state-run Tour No.5 station, with large vehicles and guaranteed driving safety and time. Take a bus to Huaqing Pool (ticket RMB40/ person, student ticket RMB20), and the splendid culture of Datang will be displayed at once. There are many scenic spots worth taking photos as a souvenir, as well as places where you can take hot springs. If you don't have enough time, you can enjoy it in the hand-washing pool and foot-washing pool of hot springs. There are not many exhibition halls of Huaqing Palace in Tang Dynasty, where you can see and learn a lot. There are exhibitions of pictures and objects, as well as many autographs by Mr. Guo Moruo, the dragon chair and the foot-washing pool inside. Every hot spring pool has a site introduction. If it's not expensive, you can hire a private tour guide. After all, it's reasonable for people to talk about three points and seven points. We didn't pay for a tour guide, but we have a tour guide hired by a tour group to explain it loudly at every scenic spot, or a privately hired tour guide. The voice is enough for us to hear, which saves a lot, but don't always listen to one person and change a few more. Anyway, the content of each scenic spot after that is similar.

After going out of Huaqing Pool, continue to take bus No.5 at the gate station, and go to the Qin Mausoleum. (Tickets are RMB15/ person, but there are no student tickets.) The Qin Mausoleum is a scenic spot that simulates the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. The real Qin Mausoleum is not opened. Here, you can get to know the true appearance of the Qin Mausoleum and what is not well known to everyone. The Qin Mausoleum is free to explain, but this station can be omitted if you are familiar with the history of the Qin Mausoleum and the First Qin Emperor.

Continue to take the No.5 bus and arrive at the Terracotta Warriors. There is KFC at the entrance of the Terracotta Warriors, which is convenient, fast and hygienic. (The entrance ticket for Terracotta Warriors is RMB65/ person, and the student ticket is RMB35.) In order to save energy and time, we chose to take the battery car from the ticket office to the entrance of the Terracotta Warriors. It's really a long way, so it takes ten minutes to walk. When we come out, we don't have a car, so we walk out. The museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses is very good. There are many treasures on display, including bronze chariots and horses, figurines, etc., and there are also many physical pictures. The first pit of the three terracotta warriors and horses pits is the most interesting, and it is also the original site of the pictures marking the role of Terracotta Warriors and Horses in various atlases. Many foreigners can visit there and take pictures. The narrator spoke well, and the pictures beside the terracotta warriors and horses pits are also very detailed. There are many small shops selling souvenirs on the way back to the station when the Terracotta Warriors came out. We bought a photo frame display rack of bronze chariots and horses for fifteen yuan.

Take the 307 road, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses go directly to the Tang Furong Garden. This route is really not so good. It takes nearly two hours without taking the expressway. You must choose to take the high-speed bus back and forth, and it is good to transfer once more. It is still a pain to delay the time on the way. Arrive at Datang Furong Garden after 5: 00 p.m. (ticket RMB68/ person, student ticket RMB61). Datang Furong Garden is a modern building complex that is all imitation of Tang style. Although it is not left over from history, it is very ornamental, with quaint buildings and elegant towers. There are all kinds of pavilions, pavilions, corridors and towers. There are lighting in the whole garden after dark, and there are performances during the Spring Festival, which are very exciting. Therefore, it is more cost-effective to play during the Spring Festival.

From the Tang Furong Garden, I walked all the way, passing by the Datang City that Never sleeps and the South Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and didn't have dinner until it was past 9 pm in the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. On the east side of the North Square, Chef Fukefu ate Shaanxi specialty dishes, such as gourd chicken and biang biang noodles, rice skin, which were not expensive and tasted good. There were also free performances of shadow play and couples raising on the second floor, so you could experience Shaanxi culture for free.

Take a taxi back to the hotel in the bell tower.

Day 3: Xi 'an

One-day tour: Huashan Mountain

Because the development of tourism around Xi 'an is not perfect, it may also be a problem of industry monopoly. There is only one bus from Xi 'an to Huashan every day, so we may not be able to catch up with the time when we go, not to mention coming back from Huashan at night. There is no guarantee of time and vehicles at all, so we chose a one-day tour group and must choose a regular travel company. We reported it by Xi 'an Tourism Company on the edge of Drum Tower. (RMB230/ person, including all items except meals).

At 7 o'clock in the morning, the tour guide called us to wake up early and told us to pick us up at 7: 45 at the gate of Yintai Department Store, an obvious building next to our hotel. One interesting thing about Xi 'an's tour is that their tour company will pick up each member one by one in the morning, because everyone lives in different places, so they will inform you of the pick-up place in advance. Before 7: 45, we went to McDonald's across the street to buy breakfast and lunch. Because we didn't know what to eat at noon and the arrangement of lunch, we bought two more hamburgers for emergencies. The tourist bus came to pick us up on time, and after receiving us, we successively picked up a bus of members, and then officially left for Huashan.

The journey from Xi 'an to Huashan takes about 2 hours. Because the stopover tour company has arranged a selling point for the display of medicinal materials, it has been delayed for some time. Every tour group has this link. After all, it is necessary to prosper the local economy, so you can just listen and not buy. Near noon, we arrived at the foot of Huashan Mountain. The tour guide arranged for a meal in a local restaurant. The food was just so-so, so we could eat it. We ordered two dishes and two bowls of rice, but we ate them all for the sake of physical strength in the afternoon, but there were two small hamburgers in the bag for backup, hehe. Because the tour group's time is fixed, we are arranged to go up and down by ropeway, which will take us to Beifeng, and then return to the tourist bus at the foot of the mountain before 5 o'clock to prepare for the return trip. As a result, we can't climb the mountain all by ourselves, and the time is not very abundant. We calculated that we should start to take the cableway up the mountain at 1: 20, and go to Beifeng in ten minutes. After climbing the mountain, we must return at most at 3: 30, and the concept of 3: 30 is that we must come down all the way when going down the mountain, and we can't stay too long.

Huashan Mountain deserves to be one of the five famous mountains. Just looking at the scenery at the foot of the mountain already feels very towering and spectacular. We climbed all the way, arrived at Xifeng within the specified time, and then went down the mountain. My physical strength was not very good, so I went down the mountain only when I arrived at Xifeng. My husband's physical strength was not bad and he was a good climber, so he felt that he could actually climb another peak. The wind at the top of the mountain is very strong. I suggest that you prepare thick clothes and wear hats, which is a great guarantee for your health. The scenery on Huashan Mountain is very beautiful, and there is a feeling of standing on the top of the mountains. Not bad!

At first, our trip was four days, so we only arranged one day in Huashan, but just as we were approaching Huashan, my husband's leader informed him that he didn't have to go to work in such a hurry and could come back for another two days, but we had no time to modify the travel itinerary of Huashan, and felt too nervous to play Huashan for one day, whether for people who like climbing mountains or people who like scenery. I suggest that if you have enough time, you might as well come to Huashan for a two-day tour. Although it is not very cheap to live on the mountain, it is also a good feeling to live on the top of the mountain at night and listen to the whistling wind. Some people like to climb at night, which is not bad, saving accommodation and seeing the sunrise! ~ ~ are all worth considering.

It was nearly 9 o'clock in the evening when I returned to the city. I really didn't have the strength to find something delicious, so I ate Chinese buns and cold rice noodles in the Wei family's cold rice noodles in Zhuba city, which tasted authentic.

Go back to the hotel to take a shower and sleep.

Day 4: Xi 'an

One-day tour: the first village of Ganling-Prince Yide's Tomb-Ganling-Famen Temple.

For the same reason, we also chose to sign up for a one-day tour of this string of tourist attractions (RMB262/ person, which is the student ID card and the price excluding meals).

The itinerary is basically the same as that of the previous day. I will pick it up at 7: 45 in the morning and then transfer to the city. I sum up the shortcomings of the group tour as follows: First, time is tight and the task is heavy. Second, there are some places you don't want to go, and the tickets for these places are expensive, and you can't use your student ID card or something. Third, people who travel are not very free. You can't watch what you want over time, and you can't watch what you don't want. For example, the first village of Ganling, where the workers lived when Ganling was first built, personally thought it was of little value to visit, and the fare seemed to be 30, which was very depressing.

Prince Yide's tomb is actually very small. Only the coffin is the original. Other things are national treasures in Shaanxi History Museum and cultural values in the small exhibition hall next to the tomb. The humidity and turbidity in the tomb and cemetery are very heavy. Friends with rhinitis must wear masks, but I just didn't wear them. As a result, rhinitis induced otitis media, which is called an affliction. The tour guide arranged for us to eat in a restaurant in Prince Yide's tomb. We chose fast food, rice and stir-fried dishes, which were better than those at the foot of Huashan Mountain, and a small chicken leg! ~~~

Ganling and Famen Temple are places that we really want to visit more, but we can't enjoy ourselves with the tour group. We only visited Ganling for 40 minutes, and we didn't go to the tomb area. Moreover, the tour guide didn't recommend us to go because of the foggy weather. It's a pity, but the stone tablets in Ganling are very good and worth remembering, but remember to take pictures in tombs and cemeteries, and try to only take pictures of things, not people and things in tombs. There are explanations in Ganling. It's arranged by the group, which is very good. It can explain the historical story about the whole dry mausoleum in detail. After all, we chose to go to Xi 'an to have a good understanding of the ancient history and culture of China, so if you also like history, you must follow the explanation closely, because some people are unconscious and talk loudly without listening to it, so you can't hear clearly.

In fact, the original site of Famen Temple is not very big, but the newly-built folded stupa is super big, and the gate building at the entrance is very grand, which feels a bit like the height of Beijing History Museum, but I unconsciously feel that there is less aura of the temple and more grandeur. The tour of Famen Temple is divided into three parts: the folded stupa, the former site of Famen Temple and the treasure hall of Famen Temple. Personally, I prefer the treasure hall. Many treasures in it are national cultural relics, so you can feast your eyes on them. The former site of Famen Temple is a place for pilgrims and believers to burn incense and worship. The building is old, but you can still feel the prestige of the Tang Dynasty as a royal temple in its heyday. The folded stupa is a place where Buddhist relics unearthed from Famen Temple are stored. It is tall and gorgeous and has high ornamental value.

When I returned to the downtown area at about 7 o'clock in the evening, because it was the 15th day of the first month, the festive atmosphere in other places before the 15th day of the first month was very strong. I heard that there was a special activity of music fountain in the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and there was also a fireworks show in Datang Furong Garden, so we went to the North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. However, because we took the wrong bus on the road, it was very late, so it was too late to walk to Datang Furong Garden, so we gave up our previous idea, and there was said to be 500,000 in the square of music fountain.

Day 5: Xi 'an

The arrangement of this day is really helpless, because the cost of free travel and accommodation every day is not small. The reason for a free day is that the Shaanxi History Museum is closed on Monday. If you want to go, you must pay attention to the time arrangement, so don't arrange a visit to the History Museum on Monday. Due to the tight arrangement for many days, my physical strength is not enough. On this day, I slept until I woke up naturally, and then I went out to eat. My husband ate Lao Liu's beef and mutton in the Huimin snack street west of the Drum Tower. It is said that the food there is very authentic, and my husband eats it with relish, but I don't think it is particularly delicious, because I think the whole mutton in Xi 'an is a little smelly! It's not very suitable for my taste. Eat less. I can't stand eating too much.

After dinner, I went back to my room to take a nap. After waking up, I set out to see the music fountain in the North Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This fountain is actually nothing special, but I think I must see it if I come.

Dinner was still eaten in Fukefu Kitchen. We came for six days and five nights and had three dinners in Fukefu Kitchen, which is enough to show that it was quite delicious there.

Day 6: Xi 'an-Beijing

Shaanxi History Museum

Shaanxi History Museum is a must-see place when you come to Xi 'an. Tickets are free. You can exchange tickets with valid documents. You can see its official website when you open. The time in winter and summer is different, and the time of invoice is also different. It is very necessary to ask for an explanation in the history museum. Faced with so many ancient cultural relics, many of them can't understand the culture and production process at all. The explanation in the history museum uses a headset receiver, so it is not feasible to rub other people's explanations like the previous attractions, unless there are tour groups, and their guides can rub them when they explain. However, for such an important cultural attraction, we still hired a private commentator. Please explain the invoice and remember to scratch the prize. I won the 5 yuan money, hehe.

Fly back to Beijing in the afternoon.

The whole arrangement was tight before it was loose. My husband went to work the next day after returning to Beijing, and he didn't feel very tired. This is also the hope result of our arrangement.

After playing in Xi 'an in general, there is no plan to come back in the future. After all, China is too big, and it will take many years to play every interesting place once, so I must have a good time. I hope my travel notes will be helpful to everyone.
